Our last weekend in Texas is coming to an end. It was a very eventful yet productive weekend for us. On Saturday, our friends Patrick and Sharyce hosted a wonderful going away party for us. It was great to see our friends and have a break from the hectic mess at our house. Thank you to everyone that was able to make it to the party to say goodbye!!
This morning we went to church for one final service before we leave. It was an emotional goodbye concluding with one final blessing from our minister. We will miss our church tremendously. After church we had Christmas with Joe's brother and family. It was nice to get a chance to spend a little time with them before the move.
We have managed to get the house as close to "ready" as possible for the movers tomorrow. Everything is sorted, in piles and inventoried. Of course, there are still several things that need to be done while the movers are packing. Over the last week I have done 37 loads of laundry (washing all linens, towels, clothes etc). We have been eating out since Thursday and we are already getting sick of restaurant food. But, it will be several days till we get to our parents houses to eat a home cooked meal.
